On May 1, 2009 a select group of leading academics, law school administrators, professional development experts, and practicing lawyers gathered to share their views on educating law students and lawyers for leadership roles. The Roundtable kicked off with Barry Posner, dean of Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and author of The Leadership Challenge and A Leader’s Legacy. Dean Posner spoke on “Enduring Truth about Educating for Leadership”. Discussion topics included “Leadership is for Everyone “, “Scenes From the Classroom and Beyond”, and “Gaps, Lapses, and the Transition From Law School to Law Practice…” Holly Fujie, president of the California State Bar was featured at the lunch conversation about “Leadership, Professionalism and State Bar Associations”.
