Three students in the 2012 Santa Clara University School of Law’s graduating class have been singled out for special recognition. Nicole Bartz was awarded the Mabie Trust Award for the Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 2012. Award criteria are academic performance, scholarly activities, leadership and service roles at the law school and in the community, and other professional accomplishments. Ms. Bartz’s nomination letter stated, “Nicole is a triple threat. She is intellectually sharp; she’s a doer and leader whose initiative makes her own luck; and she has a positive presence.” Ms. Bartz will lead the procession of her fellow classmates at the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 19, 2012.
The ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award was presented to Martin Kopp as the student who best represents a combination of scholarship, and academic and professional leadership. Natalie Korthamar was recognized with the Dean’s Outstanding Student Leadership Award for distinguishing herself through her leadership of student organizations.
