The Santa Clara County Bar Association’s New Admittees Swearing-In Ceremony and Reception was co-sponsored by Santa Clara University School of Law and held at Santa Clara University on December 6, 2005.
According to Dean Donald Polden, "the school of law is very pleased to work with the Santa Clara County Bar Association in putting on this special event for the new admittees to the Bar. Many of them are our graduates, but more importantly, all of them will be joining the legal profession so it is appropriate that they begin their new responsibilities with a proper ceremony."
More than 90 new admittees were sworn in by Judge Alden Danner of Santa Clara County Superior Court and Judge Howard Lloyd of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The ceremony was held in the Mission Church on the Santa Clara University campus. A reception honoring the new admittees followed the ceremony.
