The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) selected Professor Michelle Oberman’s book with Professor Cheryl L. Meyer entitled WHEN MOTHERS KILL: INTERVIEWS FROM PRISON for the 2008 Outstanding Book Award.
According to the ACSJ, "The book was excellent and captured both the concrete circumstances and the complex morality of the women…” The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences is an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. An award recognizing their work will be presented at the ACJS awards ceremony later this year.
