SCU School of Law Professor Allen Hammond will be one of four panelists discussing "Internet Neutrality" on Tuesday, April 25 in the Recital Hall in the Performing Arts Complex at Santa Clara University. Registration and a light reception begin at 6:30 p.m. with the program starting at 7:00 p.m. The event is being presented by Santa Clara University’s Center for Science, Technology and Society and the Commonwealth Club/Silicon Valley.
The panel conversation will discuss the growth of the Internet and how it has dramatically changed the way we live, work, and play. The net has provided users with an open and interconnected forum free from control of content and services. But internet neutrality has become one of the most hotly debated issues in Congress where the outcome of pending government regulations could undoubtedly shape and define the future of the Internet.
E-Commerce and networking industry experts will discuss pending regulations and how customers and business both large and small would be affected by such policies.
