Santa Clara University School of Law celebrated the grand opening of its new facilities in Loyola Hall, on Friday, September 9th.  Loyola Hall provides 29,000 square feet of expanded office space for the law school’s programs and activities.  It is located at the intersection of El Camino Real and The Alameda on the campus of Santa Clara University, and houses several key law school programs.  Among these programs are the law school’s nationally recognized centers and institutes, Innocence Project and its three law reviews:

Center for Global Law and Policy
Center for Social Justice and Public Service
High Tech Law Institute
Northern California Innocence Project
Santa Clara Law Review
Santa Clara Computer and High Tech Journal
Santa Clara Journal of International Law

The modern space in Loyola Hall provides an opportunity for the law school to expand the space for its major academic programs and foster a stronger sense of community for several areas of student services and academic support.  It will also provide additional space for the law school library’s growing collection of books and materials.

Dean Donald J. Polden remarked, “We are quite proud of the newly developed space in the facility and the opportunity it provides for us to pull together many important law school programs and activities.”

Loyola Hall is also home to other key academic and professional development programs as well as administrative functions including:  Legal Research and Writing Program faculty, Law Career Services, Law Fiscal Operations, Student Academic and Professional Development (including the Internship Program and the Academic Success Program), Moot Court Program, Data Personnel and Events and Communications.
