Obie Anthony, who was wrongfully incarcerated for 17 years for a murder and armed robbery he did not commit, was exonerated and released from prison in 2011 due to the work of Northern California Innocence Project attorneys and students. In a settlement reached last month, the city of Los Angeles agreed to pay Mr. Anthony $8.3 million.
