Attorney Brad Seligman will speak about "Litigating Wal-Mart" on Wednesday, November 9th from noon until 1:00 p.m. in Bannan Hall, Room 135 at Santa Clara University.
Brad Seligman taught employment discrimination law at Hastings College of the Law and Golden Gate University Law School. He is a 1978 graduate of Hastings College of the Law and was a Teaching Fellow at Stanford Law School.
Mr. Seligman has been a civil rights attorney specializing in class action and individual employment and civil right litigation for the last 24 years. He is the executive director of The Impact Fund. The Impact Fund is a public foundation, which provides financial and technical assistance and representation for complex, public interest litigation.
Mr. Seligman has successfully litigated over 45 civil rights class actions and countless individual employment cases including wrongful termination actions. He is also lead counsel in the recently certified nationwide class action sex discrimination case against Wal-Mart Stores (Dukes v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., 222 F.R.D. 137 (N.D. Cal. 2004),which is the largest civil rights class action ever certified.
