Five Santa Clara Law alumni were among the nominees for the Best Bay Area Corporate Counsel Awards, sponsored by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times. Finalists were honored at a private reception on February 10, and the winners were announced on February 22 and featured in a special publication in the February 25 issue of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times. Three Santa Clara Law alumni were selected as winners.

Darren Milliken, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Accuray Inc., Class of 1995 was the winner in the category of Best General Counsel–Public Company (annual revenue less than $1B). Thomas Lavelle, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Rambus, Class of 1976, was also a nominee in this category.

Dorian Daley, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Oracle, Class of 1986, was the winner in the category of Best General Counsel–Public Company (annual revenue more than $1B).

Elizabeth Harris, Senior Corporate Counsel, Safeway Inc., Class of 1986, was the winner in the category of Labor/Employment Lawyer.

Scott R. Shipman, Associate General Counsel, eBay Inc., Class of 1999, was nominated in the category of Rising Star.
