Professor Roberta Kwall will be speaking about "Judaism as Cultural Property" at a faculty workshop on Thursday, March 22nd from noon – 1:00 p.m. in the Strong Common Room in Bergin Hall.
Roberta Rosenthal Kwall is the Raymond P. Niro Professor of Intellectual Property Law at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois, and the Founding Director of the DePaul Center for Intellectual Property Law and Information Technology ("CIPLIT"). The courses she teaches include Copyrights & Trademarks, a seminar on Moral and Publicity Rights, a seminar on Advanced Copyright Law, and Property.
Prior to teaching at DePaul, she practiced Intellectual Property law at Sidley & Austin in Chicago, and clerked for Judge Leonard I. Garth, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Professor Kwall earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as the Comment Editor of the Law Review. She received her A.B. magna cum laude from Brown University, where she was Phi Beta Kappa. She is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and Illinois.
