David Ball discussed the impact of Proposition 47 with KTVU news, as it relates to the recent looting of several Bay Area retail stores.
“…these crimes that you’re describing are robberies. Armed gangs storming a store like at the marijuana dispensary, that is unquestionably a robbery, and Prop 47 doesn’t touch that. If you break into a store when it’s closed, that’s burglary. Prop. 47 doesn’t touch that, either. What Prop. 47 dealt with are shoplifting offenses.”
