On the weekend of March 12 – 13, two teams competed in the regional rounds of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition. Erik Perez JD ’22 and Zachary Nemirovsky JD ’22 advanced to the Quarterfinals. Janelle Barbier JD ’23 and Matthew Lem JD ’23 advanced to the finals and will be representing Santa Clara Law at the National Competition in April!
Congratulations to both teams on their achievement. Special thanks go to the coaches, Daniel Richards from Ropes & Gray and Philip Marsh from Arnold & Porter, for their dedication in preparing our teams. The teams are especially grateful to Professor Tyler Ochoa and Trey Sims JD ’19, a previous Giles Sutherland Rich semifinalist, for volunteering their time to help the teams moot.
