Tom has 25 years experience working with high-tech clients in Silicon Valley. He is currently Senior Corporate Counsel at Google Inc. supporting North American and global consumer hardware distribution and marketing. Prior to Google, Tom was Senior Corporate Counsel at ArcSight (acquired by HP), Associate General Counsel at Rovi (merged with Gemstar and renamed TIVO post-merger), Director at Mercury Interactive Corporation (acquired by HP) and Director with Business Objects Americas (Merged with Crystal Decisions and later acquired by SAP). His practice is focused on in-bound and out-bound technology licensing, cloud services, open-source licensing and product development. Tom is a Santa Clara University School of Law graduate (’92) and has taught tech agreements and licensing at Santa Clara since 2002. Tom also taught in Santa Clara’s joint LL.M. program with Seoul National University. He was also a member of the Santa Clara Law High-Tech Law Institute Advisory Board and the UC Santa Barbara Alumni Association Board of Directors.
