Paige Kaneb is a Supervising Attorney at the Northern California Innocence Project (NCIP).  Since starting at NCIP in 2007, Paige has helped exonerate 9 men of crimes they did not commit. Six of those men were convicted of murders and together served over 100 years in prison while innocent.

At NCIP, Paige works with pro bono law firms and supervises law students. Together, they investigate claims of innocence, and litigate cases with compelling new evidence to free the wrongfully convicted.  Due to her research, scholarship and litigation, lawyers around the country regularly consult Paige on the topics of “shaken baby syndrome” and actual innocence as a constitutional claim.

Prior to working at the Innocence Project, Paige interned at the Contra Costa Alternate Defender’s Office as a law clerk, and worked for the Institute for Global Justice researching ways to sue and prosecute oil companies and banks associated with extreme human rights abuses.
