Jennifer Burke Sylva

Lecturer

Ms. Sylva practices copyright and trademark law, generally, and specifically practices in the area where technology and entertainment content collide. Formerly head of legal for a SONY digital company based in Los Angeles, Ms. Sylva is in private practice where she represents authors, musicians, entrepreneurs, and engineers in transactional matters. A member of the Copyright Society of the USA, author of articles, and avid paper grader for the Grammy Foundation’s Entertainment Law Initiative’s annual legal writing competition, Ms. Sylva has a passion for copyright which she hopes will be transmitted to students during the semester.

 

Ms. Sylva is licensed to practice law in California and has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors, England and Wales where she is entitled to claim a practicing certificate.
