Marshall Anstandig is the Senior Vice-President/General Counsel to MediaNews Group, Inc. He previously was the Vice Pr/Senior Labor & Employment Counsel for Knight Ridder Inc. (the U.S. second largest newspaper company) . Prior to that he was in private law practice for 24 years specializing in labor and employment law, where he had extensive negotiation, labor arbitration and litigation experience. He was managing partner of the Phoenix, Arizona office of Bryan Cave where he was head of the labor and employment practice.
Marshall is a member of the Michigan, Arizona and California bar associations. He was also a judge pro tem for the Arizona Court of Appeals and was appointed by the U.S. District Court for Arizona as a special arbitrator for employment litigation.
