Jim Donato, Shearman & Sterling LLP partner, NCIP’s 2013 Pro Bono Award recipient, and NCIP former advisory board member will serve as a U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of California. The Senate confirmed Donato’s nomination to serve on the U.S. District Court by a 90-5 margin on Tuesday. Donato will replace former Chief Judge James Ware in the San Francisco courthouse.
