This panel will discuss highlights from recent patent case law focusing on the different standards for patentability between patent prosecution at the USPTO and enforcement in the federal courts; Sisvel v. Haier, a recent decision by the German Federal Court of Justice involving standard-essential patents (SEP), an important decision for managers of global patent portfolios and operations; and cases involving infringement at importation.
