Colette Rausch JD ’90 looks at how violent extremism, political violence, organized crime, and corruption fuel conflict. She discusses her new book, Fighting Serious Crimes: Strategies and Tactics for Conflict-Affected Societies. Rausch is Associate Vice President at the U.S. Institute of Peace. She looks at real-world examples from 20 countries—Yemen to Somalia, Afghanistan to Colombia. In an age of political turmoil, she offers important lessons and insights.
