Course Description:
The course will address topics such as fund formation, the venture capital ecosystem (including the differences between financial and strategic investors), issues faced by investors when making investments in start-up companies, as well as some of the regulatory challenges faced by venture capital funds. It will be taught from an investor’s perspective and will include negotiation exercises, drafting exercises and in-class presentations. Pre-requisite: Business Organizations (248) This class meets the Professional Skills Requirement.
