Kelley Kulick JD ’98, a deputy public defender for Santa Clara County, and Professor Ellen Kreitzberg were both quoted in a Mercury News article about a jury delivering a not guilty verdict in the death penalty case of a Manuel Lopez, San Jose man charged with raping and killing his girlfriend’s child. The defense, aided by expert testimony, argued that Lopez’s DNA found in the house was often in small quantities and mixed with other people’s DNA.
