The front-page New York Times story quoting Eric Goldman about Clearview AI, “the secretive company that might end privacy as we know it” continued to be carried or followed by dozens of outlets quoting him, including MediaPost, Engadget, Sputnik, Carrier Management, two stories in the Daily Mail, and KPLA. He was also quoted in the Christian Science Monitor about the California Consumer Privacy Act; in Communications of the ACM about abusive online behaviors; in Rappler and Gadgets 360 about the low likelihood of Big Tech being broken up; and in Protocol about Section 230.
Professor Goldman was quoted in Bloomberg, Yahoo News, Galley by CJR, and four other outlets about the Departmetn of Justice considering changes to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and Politico wrote about his participation in a DOJ Sec. 230 workshop. His comments in The New York Times about Clearview AI continued to get mentioned, in The National Law Review and Mondaq. His comments regarding politicians using technology as a tool to lie was quoted in Pew Research Center and Imagining the Internet. He was also quoted in Wired about using texts as evidence in defamation law, and in Law360 about free-speech issues in revenge-porn cases.
