Several members of the Environmental Law Society attended the 2019 Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite thanks to generous donations from Santa Clara Law alumni John Cruden JD ’74 and David Sandino JD ’84. The weekend was spent attending educational sessions based on specific areas of environmental law from NEPA and CEQA updates to the latest developments in the U.S. Supreme Court. It was a unique chance for students to learn about the field of environmental law outside of the classroom and discover career possibilities in the field. Lectures and panels were filled with prominent environmental law practitioners who students were able to build professional relationships with. The students received honest and practical career advice, and were also able to connect with law students from other schools in attendance.
