Mary Procaccio-Flowers joined the Santa Clara Law faculty as an adjunct lecturer in 2019, teaching a course in patent and trade secret litigation. Starting in the fall 2020, Mary joins the faculty full time to teach, among other courses, Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing.

Prior to beginning her teaching career, Mary worked in private practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, representing technology companies in intellectual property litigation before federal, state, and appellate courts, as well as the International Trade Commission. Mary also regularly advised companies regarding the impact of intellectual property and intellectual property litigation on a variety of corporate transactions. As an associate, Mary co-chaired the firm’s Associates Committee and served on the Hiring and Education Committees. While in private practice, Mary represented several pro bono clients, including individuals seeking asylum and conservation organizations in environmental litigation.

Mary also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Susan Illston at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Before attending law school, Mary taught elementary and junior high school.
