Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)
- In partnership with the Kennedy School of Government and the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University, and the Everywoman Everywhere coalition, drafted a comprehensive report that articulates the gaps in the international legal framework on the issue of violence against women (VAW) in the Americas and suggested ways in which a possible United Nations treaty on VAW may improve upon this framework.
- Submitted a report to the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women regarding the need for a separate legally binding UN treaty on Violence Against Women, with its separate monitoring body.
Forced Sterilization of Women (Bolivia)
- In partnership with the International Justice Resource Center, submitted an amicus curiae brief before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in I.V. v. Bolivia, a landmark case involving forced sterilization of women.
