Susannah began teaching Appellate Advocacy at Santa Clara University in the fall of 2018, and Advanced Legal Writing in the spring of 2019.  She is also an adjunct professor at Monterey College of Law, teaching Legal Research and Advanced Legal Writing.  She has been an appellate panel attorney for the Sixth District Appellate Program for the last eight years, handling criminal appeals.  Before that, she worked as a deputy public defender for 11 years at the Monterey County Public Defender’s Office.  Susannah began her professional career teaching adult basic education and English as a second language for 15 years to inmates at Soledad Prison, before attending law school.
