Overview

• The Universidad de San Martín de Porres was founded in 1962 by the Dominican Order of the Catholic Church.
• Located in Peru, it offers students insight into a different culture and the ability to learn more about Peru.
• The culture of the university is based on essential principles such as respect for the individual, the search for truth and excellence, integrity, an innovative and enterprising
  approach, protecting the environment and making a commitment to the development of the country.

Academics

• Language of Instruction: Spanish (Sessions on Introduction to Legal Technicalities in Spanish can be arranged)
• Recommended Course Load: to be decided by Santa Clara Law.
• Academic Focus: Public Management Law, Competition and Regulation Law, Business Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Property

Visa Information

• Students must be in possession of a visa before arriving in Peru.

Housing

• USMP does not have housing facilities, but will advise incoming students about search options for accommodations near campus based on quality requirements and economic possibilities.

Program Costs

• Students pay tuition to Santa Clara Law.

• Fall Exchange

  February 1: Notice of Intent Form due to CGLP for Fall Exchange of that year.

  February 15: Application and Memorandum of Understanding due for Fall Exchange of that year.

• Spring Exchange

  July 1: Notice of Intent Form due to CGLP for Spring Exchange of the following year.

  July 15: Application and Memorandum of Understanding due for Fall Exchange of that year.
