In October, NCIP client Larry Pohlschneider walked free after more than 15 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Last week he was found factually innocent. He can now apply for compensation from the state for the years he spent wrongfully incarcerated.
NCIP works to free innocent people from prison, to reform the system and to prevent innocent people from being convicted, and to help exonerees reclaim and rebuild their lives. To date, NCIP has exonerated 18 innocent men and women in California who, combined, served more than 230 years in prison.
