NCIP exoneree Maurice Caldwell spoke with Santa Clara Law students, interns, and volunteers today about his wrongful conviction story and his current efforts to spread awareness about the infractions in our justice system that ultimately lead to wrongful convictions. Along with NCIP Supervising Attorney Paige Kaneb, who helped exonerate Caldwell in 2011, Caldwell answered a variety of questions about his wrongful conviction, life in prison, and life after exoneration. Caldwell expressed his immense gratitude for NCIP, his desire to advocate on behalf of the wrongfully convicted, and his efforts to reform the justice system.
Thanks to all NCIP interns and volunteers who have dedicated their time this summer towards helping NCIP and its work!
