Three law professors will be presenters at a workshop in Los Angeles at Loyola Law School on April 17. The State Bar of California Committee on Women in the Law is hosting a one day event entitled “So You Want to Teach Law.”

Professors Alan Hammond, Stephanie Wildman, and Nancy Wright will be panelists talking about what to expect in teaching at a law school, strategies for eliminating the bias and improving the diversity of women and minority attorneys in law school teaching positions, and how to land that job.

Many lawyers and law students are interested in teaching law; however law school faculties are not always as diverse as might be expected given the number of women and minorities in the profession. This program is offered to de-mystify the process and possibilities, provide a realistic view of the demands and benefits of various faculty positions, and give nuts-and bolts instruction for those interested in pursuing this career path.
