The Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal today announced the appointment of its Volume 22 Editorial Board.
“In an effort to leverage the outstanding work of our predecessors, this past year has been focused on the expansion and maturation of the Journal as a professional enterprise, while maintaining our focus on emerging issues at the cutting edge of intellectual property and technology-related law ” said outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Trevor Dutcher. “We are confident that the incoming editorial board, backed by their considerable talents and expertise, will serve to build upon these successes and expand the Journal’s nationally-recognized leadership in its field.”
The Journal’s incoming Executive Board consists of the following Santa Clara University law students:
Elizabeth Morris, Editor-in-Chief, comes to the Journal with several years of experience in the field of intellectual property, having held patent-related positions at various Silicon Valley law firms and corporations, including KLA-Tencor. She is also currently writing a paper focused on patent law under the direct supervision of Prof. Donald Chisum. Ms. Morris is a JD candidate for 2006, holds a BS, with honors, in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and is a registered Patent Agent.
Eric M. Hutchins, Managing Editor, brings to the Journal a wealth of experience in marketing and sales as well as print media, having been an editor for The Advocate. Mr. Hutchins is a JD candidate for 2006, and he holds a BS in Computer Science and Political Science from Clarkson University.
Jeff C. Hsu, Senior Production Editor, joins the Journal with extensive legal and business experience, having most recently served as the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Click2Asia.com where he was responsible for licensing and all of the company’s marketing efforts. He is a JD candidate for 2006 and holds a BA in History and Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Erin M. Souza, Senior Production Editor, comes to the Journal with several years experience in project management and marketing. Ms. Souza brings real-world experience to the Journal having been a past marketing consultant and having served as an extern to the Honorable Len Edwards. She is a JD candidate for 2006 and holds a BA, cum laude, in Spanish and a BS, cum laude, in Business Administration from the University of Arizona at Tucson.
Jennifer J. Han, Senior Comments Editor, brings to the Journal a broad range of experience. She has worked in the public sector for CALPIRG, in the private sector for major law firms in the Los Angeles area, and on the staff of State Senator Kevin Murray, where she assisted with community-based programs. Ms. Han is a JD candidate for 2006 and holds a BA with a dual major in History and Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
The Journal’s Executive Board is well-complemented by a very talented team who round out the balance of the Volume 22 Editorial Board:
