On Friday, November 11, 2005 Reg Graycar, Professor of Law at the University of Sydney, Australia and Visiting Professor (2005) at Cornell Law School with speak at a law school faculty forum. The title of her presentation is "Gender, Race, Bias and Perspective: OR, How Otherness Colors Your Judgment/s"
Professor Graycar is the author, with Jenny Morgan, of The Hidden Gender of Law (2nd ed, 2002) and many other publications on tort law, family law and policy, feminist legal theory and law reform. She has visited at the Faculties of Law at the University of British Columbia (Canada); University of Cape Town (South Africa) and Université de Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne). From 1998-2002 she was full time Law Reform Commissioner for the state of New South Wales, Australia, and has been involved in a number of other law reform related activities (such as membership of the Family Law Council, a national advisory body). She has also served in a number of quasi judicial capacities (membership of Social Security Appeals Tribunal; Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission). In addition, she has been involved in a range of judicial education programs, particularly on gender issues.
