Two Santa Clara Law alums have won 2012 Bay Area Best Corporate Counsel Awards, awarded by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times. Andrew Vu ’93is the winner in the category of Community Champion. He is SAP’s assistant general counsel. Sam O’Rourke ’99 is the winner in the category of Rising Star. He is Facebook’s deputy general counsel, intellectual property.
Four other Santa Clara Law alums were finalists in this year’s awards: Simao Avila ’83, Kaiser Permanente; Suzan Miller ’89, Intel Corporation; Frank Nguyen ’94, Intuitive Surgical; and Riley Russell ’88, Sony Playstation.
