The Honorable Peter H. Kirwan was appointed to the Santa Clara County Superior Court Bench in February, 2006. Judge Kirwan was previously a founder and partner with the firm of Needham, Davis, Kirwan and Young LLP from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, Judge Kirwan was a partner with the firm of Hoge, Fenton, Jones and Appel Inc. specializing in civil litigation. Judge Kirwan is currently the Supervising Judge of the Court’s Civil Division and is in his second year serving as a Civil Case Manager. For the past six years, Judge Kirwan has taught Mediation Theory and Practice at the Santa Clara University Law School and has been a frequent lecturer for Continuing Legal Education Seminars. He has also been an active member of the Santa Clara Inns of Court since 1988.
